Iran has restricted access to the Instagram and Telegram social media apps as a security measure during rare anti-government protests. Irib News quoted anonymous sources as saying on Sunday that social media in the country would be temporarily limited, as the government warned protesters they would pay a price if days of unrest continued.

Then again, that can be applied to nearly all walks of life in this controlled world we live in today unfortunately. Just imagine if Instagram was down for a single hour in the United States, people would lose their minds and before you know, it would be front headlines news.. the world we live in.
