Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who was murdered for digging and exposing the corruptions in her government.

As a renowned blogger and fierce critic of the Government, Daphne died on Monday in a blast that wrecked her car as she was leaving her house, throwing debris and body parts into a nearby field.

A government spokesman said that police believe a bomb that killed a prominent journalist in Malta was attached beneath her car and triggered remotely.

The car Caruana Galizia drove was a Peugeot 108 model.
