*Wanted to remind everyone of the investigative Maltese reporter (Daphne Caruana Galizia) who was murdered a little more than a month ago.

Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who was murdered for digging and exposing the corruptions in her government, particularly the money laundering and corruption in Malta, including those involving senior figures in the Maltese government.

As a renowned blogger and fierce critic of the Government, Daphne died in a blast that wrecked her car as she was leaving her house, throwing debris and body parts into a nearby field.

The last words Ms Caruana Galizia wrote on the blog where she excoriated Malta’s elite for its corruption, negligence and incompetence were: “There are crooks everywhere you look now. The situation is desperate.”

After posting them, she drove away from her home in the village of Bidnija and was killed by an explosion so powerful it threw her rented car 80 metres into a field.

A government spokesman said that police believe a bomb that killed a prominent journalist in Malta was attached beneath her car and triggered remotely.

Caruana Galizia's family has requested that the magistrate in charge of the investigation be replaced, the Malta Independent reports. It said the current magistrate had on a number of occasions been the subject of criticism by Caruana Galizia.
