SDG&E cut the power in parts of Julian and other areas in the backcountry Thursday as a way to minimize the threat of live power lines being blown down and igniting a fire.  Early Thursday morning, the power was interrupted for about two hours in the main district of Julian. The outage was not part of the utility's shutoff plan and SDG&E said the short-lived outage was due to a different cause which has yet to be determined.

For those that are skeptics as to all these fires being natural occurrences, do you think that the shut down by the gas and electric company  happened and the police, SDG&E is accurate with it's figures by shutting down certain areas and regions or is there just a shut down and the numbers are just construed?
