These apps encroach on the everyday person's privacy.

Requirements for access to use Tinder dating app:
In-app purchases
Device & app history: Allows the app to view phone activity, which apps are running ,browsing history and bookmarks
Location: approximate location (network-based) / precise location (GPS and network-based)
Photos/Media/Files: read phone status and identity as well /
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
Wi-Fi connection information: Allows the app to view information about WiFi networking, such as if Wi-Fi is enabled and names of connected Wi-Fi devices
Device ID & call information: Allows the app to determine the phone number and device IDs, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a call

Why does this app need this much access? There are some apps that do not require ANY permissions whatsoever. If you think for a little bit, it isn't that hard to figure out.
I don't think people realize how invasive this is.

*These required permissions are NOT limited to just Tinder.
  
People desire affection and compassion. Sex is also a huge driving motivating factor also obviously.
Some people will do just about anything for it. Whether one is looking for a one time fling or a potential prospective significant other (which in my opinion isn't exactly ideal looking on an app such as Tinder)
Tinder, a convenient "dating" app for those who are interested in meeting people quickly through minimal effort.
Don't ask me about it. Never used it.
